The Cinematic Ear Presents:

Bernadette Cooper Novels & Audiobooks

About The Author

Bernadette Cooper is a producer, composer, arranger, and entertainer. Fresh out of college, she created the double Platinum all-girl band Klymaxx.  E.M.I Publishing penned her to an exclusive publishing contract, and MCA Records simultaneously signed Bernadette to an exclusive recording contract. Her solo project, the critically acclaimed Drama According To Bernadette Cooper, birthed the hit single I Look Good. With all of her success, Atlantic Records, under the leadership of Sylvia Rhone, inked Bernadette to a three-act production deal where she created her girl group Madame X, and the song Just That Type Of Girl became a top 5 Billboard smash. Bernadette Cooper’s continued success included writing and producing endless hits and acts and creating music for various movie soundtracks, including the opening monologue The Body Beautiful in the hit movie To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything Julie featuring Wesley Snipes and John Leguizamo.

Halle Berry portrayed Bernadette Cooper on Saturday Night Live, spoofing Klymaxx, and in another episode, On SNL, Emma Stone parodied a music video as Bernadette Cooper. Bette Midler opened her tour with a musical monologue written by Bernadette Cooper. Her bio reads like a succession of hits.

Bernadette dabbled in entrepreneurship, owning Cooper’s Limousine and later Museum68 Boutique on the East Coast. She returned to California to care for her ailing grandmother and Mother, sold her store, and reopened Museum68 online. Her boutique label, G.O.T U Entertainment, is currently working with and releasing new music with famed DJ Osunlade. And in 2024, she released a new single with The original Mary Jane Girls Maxi & Cheri entitled Jealous Bitch. Bernadette continued to tour as Klymaxx Ft Bernadette Cooper’s and Diva And A Turntable, a DJ and one-woman touring show performing the songs she penned and produced throughout her career.

Now, add the novelist to her resume.

Cooper, the elaborate storyteller, is showcasing her latest novels. A Cry No One Heard, The Strokes, The Beautiful Killers Agency Volume 1.2.3, In A Strange Way Vol.1 2. 3, and Bethlehem Vol.1.2.3.

Her novels observe sisterhood, scrutinize racism, expose the ghosts of nursing homes, and explore unorthodox sexuality. The common themes celebrated in each book are the search for supreme happiness and the mighty force of women when they unite to accomplish a single goal.

When asked about her motivation for writing novels and audiobooks, Cooper explains,

‘I’m a writer who decided not to confine myself to just penning lyrics for songs. I have proven myself successful with music; now, I’d like to share my gift of storytelling with a broader audience. I approach novels like I envision my music as a collective group of songs for an album. Hence, I always write books with multiple stories.

Since I have yet to pen my autobiography, which will reveal a lifetime of drama and celebrity, I’m projecting a lens that discloses elements from the chapters of my life and actual occurrences in all of my books.

Once again, Cooper defies the typical with her Audiobooks, adding a dramedy flair to her spoken word narration, accompanied by her musical production.

Through her journey, Bernadette Cooper has empowered females through her music. Now, she is on a mission to bring sexy back to reading.
